In 2016 I welcomed my first child into the world and quickly knew I had no idea what I was doing.

I joined TikTok in 2021, well after the pandemic surge, and used the platform to yell into the void. While I was yelling at no one in particular about the chaos of parenting, a thought I shared got 2 million views, revealing to me that I am not the only parent who feels like they suck. Since then I have used this platform to build a community of real parents, cheering them on in their role, and offering what little advice I have based on my few years of parenting.

Cheering you on in the hardest role you will ever have

I am passionate about talking candidly about the things parents never get to talk about. What can we do when we hate parenting? How can we be kind to ourselves when facing the incredible pressure of raising tiny humans? How can we be real about the hard parts of this role without wallowing in self-pity and negativity? I want to help you feel less alone in this, while also offering what meager insight I have about how to keep from losing yourself in this all consuming task. Even when you are at your worst, you’re not a bad person, you’re a parent.

Much love,

JK
